But it was a more serious Kate Winslet, 40, on the set of Collateral Beauty on Wednesday, with the Oscar-winning actress appearing straight-faced as she stood on the sidewalk at the Farmers Market in New York.

The British beauty oozed sophistication in a tailored tan overcoat which she wore with a knee-length black dress.

Her bare legs were exposed from the knee down, with the star braving the chilly conditions.

She wore a pair of stylish heeled ankle boots, black leather gloves and a petite over the shoulder bag.

Kate's blonde tresses fell messily over her shoulders from a middle parting, and she wore only a subtle application of make-up in keeping with her classy look.

The star was also at the Farmers Market on Wednesday and looked to be quite the kale fan as she pretended to chow down on a large bundle of the raw vegetable in a playful moment on set.

The actress joked around with co-star Enrique Murciano in between scenes.

Fresh-faced Kate again wore her chic camel coat but was slightly more casual, swapping her black dress for a white top.

Her silky blonde tresses were parted down the middle and fell in partial waves past her shoulders as she stood among the fresh produce.

She wore barely there makeup which highlighted her youthful appearance and flawless complexion but added a touch of smokey eye.

The Titanic favourite was spotted as she filmed a scene with Murciano, who wore a burgundy T-shirt and brown suede coat.

But while she appears quite the Kale fan, Kate told MailOnline last November that she can't stand 'faddy diets.'

'I try to stay healthy but I'm a great believer of everything in moderation,' she said. 'No faddy foods or strange elimination diets because how boring is that?'

'I'm the sort of person who, whenever I say, "Right! I'm not going to eat sugar or drink alcohol for a month," will immediately go and have a glass of rosé and a slice of cake,' Winslet admitted.
