The plane was scheduled to arrive at 9.45am at Astana in north-central Kazakhstan, but climbed back into the air when the pilot realised that the front landing gear was not lowering.The extra time allowed airport officials to cover the surface of the tarmac with special foam to prevent a fire and to organise additional fire engines to wait on standby.
