For years she barely showed her natural smile in public, giving the impression of a lack of sense of humour.

But in recent times Victoria Beckham has been happy to share an insight into her winning sense of humour, and on Thursday she did just that with a hilarious Instagram post.

The 41-year-old fashion designer posted a snap of herself on her social media page, delighting her 9.7m followers as she lifted her slender leg high up in the air, showing off her awe-inspiring flexibility.

That is one heck of a leggy display! Victoria Beckham stunned as she lifted her leg up incredibly high in a fun Instagram snap on Thursday, boasting that her 'ballet classes are paying off'

With her perfect pins opening further than a 90 degree angle - and with her stiletto-heeled foot pointed gracefully - she joked that her impressive posture was down to ballet.

'It's amazing what you can do in culottes...those ballet classes are paying off! Thank u @edwardbarsamian and @voguemagazine! Kisses from LA x vb,' she wrote.

For all her joviality, the former Spice Girls star kept her face stoic and distracted in the picture, making sure her eye-popping leg lift was the focus.

Reclining casually on a sofa on a luxurious-looking hotel room she looked sensational in a pair of loose-fitting black culottes and a strapless top, giving the illusion of a jumpsuit.

Her brunette locks were styled in her favourite 'do, pulled back into a long ponytail with a touch of lift at the roots.

The photograph appeared to be a throwback snap from last week, when Victoria was in the Asian country to launch her Hong Kong store: during her trip to Asia, she also visited South Korea.

While in the city, she also appeared at the amFAR Gala, held on Saturday 19 March, wearing one of her stunning designs on the red carpet.

She was a special guest of honour at the prestigious event for her charity work with the AIDs research foundation.

She's been busy promoting her latest collection and new store opening in Hong Kong, so what else would Victoria Beckham wear than one of her own designs?

VB attended the amFAR event wearing a plaid design from her latest runway show, which touches down in store and online later this year.

There's no need to wait that long to tap into the trend however, as plaid prints and tweed fabrics were also big news on the spring runways, and now the look is hitting the high street too.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday at home in Los Angeles, Victoria had cut a far more casual figure in her workout wear as she walked alongside her daughter under the sunny skies.

She rocked a pair of slim-fitting leggings and a zip-up top, and her favourite black Adidas baseball cap to hide her face following a workout.

The four-year-old beamed with delight as she skipped out of the gym with her famous parents and three brothers.

The little girl looked adorable in a blue Karl Lagerfeld tennis dress with her long brown hair flowing loosely as she stayed close to her siblings.
