'Can I borrow your costume?' Zayn Malik jokes around with Ryan Reynolds in cheeky Twitter exchange as he declares his love for Hollywood star's hit movie Deadpool

He was left crushed when Zayn Malik pulled out of an appearance on The Graham Norton Show earlier this year, destroying their chance of meeting.

But Ryan Reynolds showed he hadn't given up on his dream of seeing the star at a later date as they playfully bantered back and forth in a cheeky Twitter exchange on Friday.

Kicking off the conversation, the former One Direction star caught Ryan's attention as he tweeted about the star's latest film, writing: 'Just seen Deadpool for the second time , f**king love this s**t !!'

Responding to the praise, Ryan immediately asked the star if he had any intentions of seeing the superhero movie again as he joked that he would go along to meet him

'If you're gonna see Deadpool a 3rd time, let me know when and where. Not asking for me. For my twin brother, Donald,' he teased.

But Zayn seemed more than happy to oblige as he quipped 'only if i can borrow your costume,' in response.

Whilst Ryan didn't respond to the cheeky question, a blossoming bromance is no doubt on the cards for the pair following their missed encounter on the Graham Norton Show in January.

After Zayn pulled out of the BBC chat show last minute, fellow guest Ryan tweeted his mock outrage as he joked that he had gone under the knife to look his best for the Pillowtalk hitmaker.

'Zayn isn't on the Graham Norton show with me anymore. I'll still go on... But obviously I got my lips done for nothing. #DeadpoolDoesLondon.'

The singer also saw the funny side of the tweet and shared the post with his 18.5million followers, adding a crying with laughter emoji.

Explaining the reason for his absence, a representative for the star told MailOnline at the time: 'Due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts with recording commitments, Zayn's appearance on Graham Norton has been postponed.

'Zayn has confirmed that he would love to appear on the show at a later date.'

Whilst the star has yet to announce when he will return to the chat show, the star is no doubt feeling pleased that he took the time to tweak Mind Of Mine as it shot to number one in the UK albums chart this week.
