He recently adorned his chiselled body with yet another tattoo and it seems as if David Beckham is keen to add to his 'tough guy' exterior.

The 40-year-old iconic football legend looked undeniably cool as he was spotted on his motorcycle on Thursday, ready to take off for a short road-trip with a friend in Beverly Hills, California.

The other half of former Spice Girls member Victoria Beckham, wore a mostly all-black outfit which matched his high-speed ride.

Wearing a pair of thick mustard-yellow coloured gloves, the father of four was deep in concentration as he eyed up the road ahead of him.

On another occasion, he was spotted glancing back over his shoulder, where the red-tinted helmet screen shielded his handsome features.

Seemingly prepared for his adventure, the British sporting hero tied up an patterned sack which was tied to the back of the bike and undoubtedly harboured his road-trip essentials.

An camouflage baseball cap was also seen dangling on the side of the vehicle, no doubt to cover up his helmet hair later on in the day.

David has recently resigned from the position of Director at Victoria's fashion label to focus on his own brand- DB Ventures Limited.

A Beckham family spokesperson told MailOnline that their decision to re-structure their various businesses and to disentangle their brands from one another is largely an accounting issue.

'They are different businesses – DVBL is a licencing and partnership business, VBL is a luxury, fashion brand - and it makes little commercial sense for them to continue to be merged together and report combined figures.'

Regardless of David's decision to leave the business, the brunette Wannabe vocalist's business will undoubtedly continue to flourish - as she opened a store in Hong Kong earlier this month.

Needless to say, the through and through family man was recently spotted on a family fitness day out, where even his daughter Harper, 4, got into the athletic spirit.
