She 'joked' that she was pregnant and expecting a girl.

On Friday, following an appearance on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, Gwen Stefani appeared to confirm her news was simply an April Fools' prank judging by what showed in that revealing outfit she was wearing.

The Voice mentor, 46, displayed her toned mid-section in a sheer, fishnet ensemble as she exited the show's New York set.

The mother-of-three stayed true to her eclectic style in a set of fishnet stockings, raised all the way above her midsection.

She layered a pair of army cargo pants over her look, before finishing off with a black bra and floor-sweeping overcoat.

The blonde beauty added a pair of caged, pointed heels and an extra-large, collar necklace.

Earlier that day. the 46-year-old Voice mentor shared an Instagram photo of a sonogram.

In the blonde beauty's caption she wrote, 'It's a girl' with heart emoticons and a Gx, which is the symbol for her shoe line.

But sources confirmed the suspicion of many of Gwen's fans when they told People magazine that the No Doubt front woman was simply pulling an April Fool's Day joke.

Then @cocof1981 added: 'I hope you are actually pregnant as I think this is the meanest most distasteful April fools joke! All those women who can't get pregnant or have lost a baby!. Shame on you if this is a joke!'

Later @gabiorttiz added: 'HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH Ok, you almost gave me a heart attack.'

Ever since dating Blake, Gwen has been in more of the joking mood, so this baby announcement is most likely a good laugh.
