A criminal complaint says Thornton told police he "shot and killed his brother over the fact that he was romantically interested in his brother's girlfriend."
The shooting occurred at their home in Williamstown, about 30 miles northeast of Harrisburg.
Online court records don't list an attorney who could comment for Thornton. He has a preliminary hearing April 27.

Babysitter, 30, arrested in death of five-month-old baby boy who was taken to hospital with head injuries and bruising

Homicide detectives are asking for the public's help to get more information on the death of a 5-month-old baby boy who was allegedly assaulted by his babysitter in Lancaster.

According to Los Angeles County sheriff's investigators, Aiden Lopez was under the care of his babysitter Brittany Ingrassi, a long-time friend of Aiden's father, on March 22.

Around 5:20 p.m., deputies and paramedics were called to the 43400 block of Gadsden Avenue on a report of a baby not breathing.

Aiden was found with serious head trauma and bruising to the upper torso, officials said. He was transported to an area hospital, where he died of his injuries four days later on March 26.

Detectives arrested Ingrassi, 30, on Tuesday. She was charged on Thursday with one count each of assault on a child becoming comatose/paralyzed and child abuse with an allegation that the defendant personally inflicted great bodily injury on the victim who was under the age of 5, the district attorney's office said.

Baby Aiden Lopez of Lancaster, California was rushed to hospital on March 22 with head trauma and bruising to his upper torso. He died on March 26.

High schoolers in Tennessee were forced this week to walk in deep water. Incredible footage posted to Facebook Thursday by Bo Franklin showed students at Millington Central High School in flood waters that appeared to be several feet deep in parts. There was 2.9 inches of rain in 30 minutes, Millington city crews told local media. Water was reportedly 2-3 feet high in places.
