Police hunt for woman who robbed a 103-year-old Bronx woman for her food and money in her apartment building 

  • A 103-year-old woman was robbed of her food in money in the Bronx
  • The mugger followed the elderly victim into her apartment building  
  • Police are searching for a woman who knocked the victim to the ground 
  • Then grabbed the victim's purse and two meals and fled the scene

Police are searching for a woman who robbed a 103-year-old woman for her food and money in the hallway of her apartment building.

The mugger followed the victim into her building on Bellamy Loop in Co-op City at about 2.30pm on Friday.

As the victim was getting into the elevator, the suspect also got on the elevator.

She then followed the victim onto her floor and knocked her to the ground. 

The suspect grabbed the victim's purse and two meals she received from a local community center, police said.

Police said the suspect then fled the scene and has not been apprehended. 

The 103-year-old was evaluated by EMS at the scene but refused further medical attention. 

Police released surveillance video Friday night of the attacker, who is described as 5 foot 8 inches tall and weighing 250 pounds. 

In the footage, the attacker appears to be wearing a striped yellow polo shirt as she pushes a cart through the entrance of the building.
