'For the first time in my life I don't feel like I'm waking up in the morning lying,' she says.

Her toughest challenge she says was saying goodbye to her former self Bruce, whom she says 'was a good person', but says there are times where she still feels like she disposed of him.

'When you get our name changed, gender marker changed, all that kind of stuff, you know it's the right thing to do in your heart but sometimes I did feel like I was throwing [Bruce] out.'

She also discusses the impact her transition had on her faith as a Christian.

It was an inner dialogue that resulted in a long conversation with her pastor, which she says presented her with a revelation: 'Maybe this is the reason God put me on this earth.'

Late last month, she told 2DayFM's Rove McManus and Sam Frost that she is still a staunch Republican, a political party that typically has a poor track record with women's, trans and gay issues.

Though she had opinions that she said she'd prefer to keep to herself, she hinted that she would vote for controversial candidate Donald Trump should he be selected for the Presidential election.

'Whoever is the Republican candidate obviously I’m going to vote that direction,' she said.

'I have my ones that I like more than others but those are for me personally.'

Jenner added that her political allegiance has mixed reviews from the public: 'I get more criticism for being a Republican than I have for being trans!'
