They're back! Syfy employs Star Wars and Game Of Thrones gags to tease upcoming fourth film in Sharknado series which debuts in July

The third film in Syfy's outlandish saga - Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! - left viewers with a cliffhanger as to whether or not April (Tara Reid) lived.

And on Friday the network once again teased that the 40-year-old would be back for the upcoming fourth film, if only to reveal her grisly fate, as reported by Deadline.

They also unveiled the punny title of the new movie, which played on the wildly successful Star Wars reboot, The Force Awakens, dubbing it Sharknado: The 4th Awakens, as well as the fact that it will debut July 31.

Meanwhile, Tara played on the uncertainty surrounding her character's fate, sharing a poster that resembled Game of Thrones' marketing for their upcoming sixth season.

The show has been teasing the fate of Jon Snow (Kit Harington), who many fans assume is alive despite having been stabbed in the season five finale by his own men.

The poser shows a forlorn looking Tara in place of Jon Snow - equipped with the same blood dripping down her face - and replaces the HBO at the bottom with Sharknado's network, Syfy.

Also, the new poster cleverly takes advantage of Game of Thrones' release date - which is in April - simply placing a question mark behind the month, written in bold, since it is the name of Tara's character.

That way, the tweaked poster then questions the fate of Tara's character, asking - in bold lettering: 'April?'

Deadline also reported that the new movie will take place five years after the destructive events in the East Coast, which occurred in last summer's Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!

Fin (Ian Ziering) and his family have been enjoying the sharknado-free time, but they will soon see the shark-filled tornadoes popping up - once again - where they least expect it.

Will she survive? Following the third film, Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! (pictured) Syfy launched a social media campaign in which fans could vote as to whether or not April survived, and Tara will reveal the news with the premiere of the fourth film

David Hasselhoff will star in the upcoming movie as Gil Shepard, while Nickelodeon's Ryan Newman will play Claudia Shepard.

Gary Busey, Tommy Davidson, Imani Hakim, Cody Linley, Masiela Lusha and Cheryl Tiegs also star in the upcoming sequel.

Syfy has also shared that it will announce more cameos as it gets closer to the July 31 (at 8pm) premiere of Sharknado: The 4th Awakens.

A little rest: The movie picks up five years after the last destructive sharknado, but Fin (Ian, pictured with co-star Tara) and his family don't get to enjoy the peace and quiet for too long
