Cherish was in Walmart with her mother and sisters when they were approached by a man (pictured center) who offered to help them shop - a man who, it is believed, lured Cherish away before committing the barbaric acts. And the recently released recordings give a fuller picture of how that happened.

The pictures of the peacock, which looked suspiciously like a tree, were captured by photographer Nimit Virdi, 28, in the Bandhavgarh tiger reserve in India. He said: 'Peacocks are common throughout the parkland, but it is rare that they behave in such an interesting way. It really did look like a dazzling tree.'

Pod of dolphins snakes a surfer's wave at Yallingup beach

A surfer was gliding across a wave at Yallingup beach, three hours south of Perth, on Saturday when three dolphins leaped through the surf and joined him (pictured). The surfer hung back briefly as he tried to figure out if the finned animals were dolphins or sharks (inset). After realising they were friendly dolphins, he continued to ride out the wave as they jumped in and out of the water.
