Kate Hudson fell victim to the glare of camera flashes when she exposed a little too much while wearing a tight black jumper on Thursday night.

The actress went braless when she headed to Carlitos Gardel restaurant in West Hollywood - but seemed unaware of the fashion blunder.

The 36-year-old amped up the sex appeal as she showcased her long legs in red leather thigh-high boots and skintight indigo jeans for dinner with pals.

Kate let her inner hippie shine through in her accessories - slinging a tan leather bag with tassels over her shoulder.

The mother-of-two's shorter glossy blonde tresses were worn straight as they swished around her shoulders and she opted for just a subtle sweep of mascara and a berry lipgloss to plump her pout.

Kate can soon be seen in comedy Mother's Day which also stars Jennifer Aniston and Julia Roberts and is released in theatres April 29.

The official synopsis of the flick, which comes from director Garry Marshall (Valentine's Day, New Year's Eve), reads: 'This big-hearted comedy invites us all to enjoy the laughter, tears and love as three generations come together in the week leading up to Mother’s Day.'

Britt Robertson, Sarah Chalke, Shay Mitchell, Jon Lovitz, Aasif Mandvi, Timothy Olyphant, and Margo Martindale also star.

Meanwhile Kate travelled a lot last month as she promoted her first book, Pretty Happy: The Healthy Way to Love Your Body.

The self-help tome has so far proved to be a success as it recently made the The New York Times Bestseller list.

With Pretty Happy, the mother-of-two is hoping to inspire others to look within to find happiness and achieve their fitness goals.

Kate is mother to 12-year-old Ryder from her former marriage to singer Chris Robinson and four-year-old Bingham with her musician ex-fiance Matt Bellamy - lead singer of Muse.

She stepped out no Wednesday revealing a lot more skin in a see-through black mesh topthat showed off her sports bra underneath and toned abs for a trip to the boxing ring.

She teamed the look with round-eye shades and a tasseled leather tote, while her flaxen locks were worn scraped off her face in a cute topknot.
