GIRL ABOUT TOWN: Prince Harry's friend plays April Fool joke advertising U.S. Army Black Hawk helicopter commuter service

My award for the poshest April Fool joke goes to Prince Harry’s army pal Charles Innes-Ker, Marquess of Bowmont and Cessford.

The Old Etonian, known simply as Charlie Bowmont, advertised his new business running a commuter service picking up clients in a US Army Black Hawk helicopter near the M40 motorway and delivering them to Green Park, Mayfair.

The newsletter went to everyone on the mailing list of Capstar, his upmarket chauffeur company, and he had more than 50 enquiries.

‘I had notable people calling me,’ he chuckles.

‘One Hollywood producer asked where exactly he would be dropped. I had to tell him only Her Majesty could be dropped in Green Park!’

Charlotte Dellal: Designer, granddaughter of the late property magnate ‘Black Jack’ Dellal

I do hope all is well in the accounting department of Charlotte Dellal’s company.

She is the new face of MAC cosmetics but, for the first time since 2013, the diligent designer, granddaughter of the late property magnate ‘Black Jack’ Dellal, has failed to file company accounts for her quirky shoe brand Charlotte Olympia, a hit with celebrities like Emma Watson.

Questions are now being asked about why no accounts have been registered.

Two directors have also resigned since they were due in January.

But 34-year-old Charlotte tells me: ‘Well thanks for telling me, but I’m a designer.

'I have nothing to do with my accounts.’

Esteemed actor Sir Derek Jacobi must be a germophobe, because my spies saw him wearing a surgical face mask – Michael Jackson style – on a flight to London Heathrow from Antigua last week.

Sir Derek, 77, and his long-term partner, actor Richard Clifford, both wore the masks as they sat in business class on the BA flight.

I dread to think what the Last Tango In Halifax star would have been wearing had he flown Economy...
