When she's not strutting her stuff down the runway for some of the world's biggest labels, Kelly Gale's style tends to err on the side of edgy cool. 

While enjoying the warmer weather in New York on Friday, the Victoria's Secret model donned a classic rock chick ensemble made up of an AC/DC T-shirt.

The 20-year-old, who is half Australian, made a peace sign as she posed for a snap shared to Instagram alongside The Knick actor Andre Holland.

The shirt read 'Rock'n'roll ain't noise pollution', which is the title of a song on the the legendary Australian rock troupe's seminal album Back In Black from 1980.

Kelly was also wearing slashed faded jeans and a New York Yankees cap that was on backwards, clearly embracing her home of the Big Apple since moving from Sweden two years ago. 

Her friend meanwhile, who has found fame in the medical drama alongside Clive Owen, was wearing a brown jacket over a plain white T-shirt and a matching Yankees cap.

The raven-haired beauty has an Indian mother and Australian father and had lived in Melbourne for two years when she was very young before her family moved to Gothenburg.

She was scouted at the age of 13 but her big break in the industry came in 2012 when she was asked to walk for Chanel.

'I’d love to work for Victoria’s Secret when I’m a little bit older,' she told WWD at the time, and a year later her wish became a reality when she walked in the Victoria's Secret Fashion show for the first time.

She walked again in the coveted runway in 2014 and has gone on to have an illustrious career in fashion, scoring campaigns for Ralph Lauren and a cheeky cover for ELLE Greece. 

Wearing a red and white striped skivvy, she lifted her arms to flash her bare breasts with the knit barely covering her nipples. 

Holding her hands up to her mouth, Kelly flashed a playful expression in the colourful image.
