Joe Swash reveals his growing bald patch while on a romantic holiday with EastEnders love Kara Tointon

He's rumoured to have secretly spent £3,000 on a hair transplant operation some years ago, but it seems Joe Swash's efforts to hold onto his trademark ginger locks have been in vain.

The I'm A Celebrity winner revealed a sizable bald patch yesterday while on holiday with his EastEnders girlfriend Kara Tointon.

Bald truth: It seems the I'm A Celebrity Winner is losing his
trademark ginger locks

Sources say the 27-year-old has 'tried everything' to stop the thinning process, including a painstaking procedure in which a surgeon delicately transplanted hairs from the back to the crown of his head.

However it seems, like many men, he is fighting a losing battle.

Still, Joe didn't let it get him down and instead enjoyed a round of golf and the company of his former soap co-star.

Joe was fresh from a two-week visit to the US, where he got to follow Pamela Anderson around for Living With My Idol which airs on Living on November 2.

Relaxing getaway: The couple enjoyed a round of golf

The couple, who looked a picture of happiness on their romantic reunion, seem to be going from strength to strength.

They were recently spotted house-hunting in the fashionable North London enclave of Islington, where Joe, 27, lives with his mother Kiffy and sisters Caisie and Shana.

The couple have been together for a year and Kara, 26, who is Asda's new lingerie model, has said she wants to start a family.

Kara currently lives in a three-bedroom flat in nearby Hampstead.

She bought it in 2004 for just under £500,000 and shares it with her sister Hannah, 21, who played Katy Fox in the TV soap Hollyoaks.

Her neighbours include their parents, who bought a flat in the same building in 2005.
