Ramirez was disoriented and when he got out of the vehicle he stepped into lanes of traffic and was struck by a tour bus, officials said, according to ABC.

The California Highway Patrol said that Ramirez is being treated at the hospital for major but non-life-threatening injuries.

The crashes, which were reported at about 4.30pm on Saturday, are being investigated by the highway patrol.

Fire units on scene cleared the area by about 5.45pm, according to CBS.

Malibu Canyon Road, where the incident occurred, was closed in both directions for about an hour.

‘This is another reminder of the need to drive safely through the canyons of our beautiful area and to use extreme caution at the scene of a traffic collision,’ the Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station said in a statement following the crashes. ‘The accident is being investigated by the CHP.’
