At the Academy of Country Music Awards last night, Nicole Kidman stepped onto the red carpet sporting a dress with sheer panels to expose her legs, arms and a touch of side-boob.

The colourful long-sleeved embroidered gown also featured sparkles, butterflies, birds, sun and moon designs, a turtleneck-style neckline and embellished detailing.

But the eye-watering number isn't the first bizarre outfit the Hollywood star has stepped out in. 

From boho velvet to Elizabethan ruffles and tuxedo dresses, over the years the actress has made so many odd sartorial choices, it begs the question - does she dress in the dark?
