She's ditched her famously preppy dress sense in favour of more high-fashion styles as of late.

But Taylor Swift successfully managed to fuse the two looks together when she stepped out for lunch with a friend at Wokcano in Los Angeles on Monday.

While she might have only been dining with one of her gal pals, the 26-year-old singer still put effort into her ensemble as she hit the sushi spot in a denim jumpsuit.

Taylor upped the glamour of the look with tan stilettos, which boasted strap detailing and a pretty tie-up ankle.

The Bad Blood singer maintained the minimalist feel of the look by keeping accessories to a minimum and wearing her blonde locks in an easy low ponytail, her full fringe framing her pretty face.

Swift took home the first award of the night at the star-studded event, which honours the best in music, and was held at the fabulous Forum in Inglewood, California.

She said: 'The decision to make a pop album was not made in a conference room or by a record label. Those decisions were made in my kitchen with my girlfriends and the women in my life.'
