Normally he just sits there silently and lets the Real Housewives Of Atlanta get on with it.

But during the Reunion finale of Sunday night, Andy Cohen found himself in the middle of the fracas.

The 47-year-old slammed the reality stars for their ‘gay bashing attitudes’ in the second to last episode of season eight.

Cohen grew visibly angry at the women as they discussed episodes in which they questioned and mocked the sexuality of Kim Fields’ husband Christopher Morgan.

The host of the show, who is an openly gay man, became upset and attacked the stars and Kenya Moore in particular for their ‘taunting and derogatory’ mocking of Morgan, who was sat in the studio.

And when Kenya apologized Andy even cut her off and slammed her ‘crappy’ apology and asked her to do better.

The drama unfolded when Andy brought up the subject of the women attitudes towards Kim’s Broadway hubby and their insinuation about his sexuality.

Nude seemed to be the color of choice at the Real Housewives of Atlanta reunion show with all of the ladies of the cast rocking various shades of the neutral tone.

‘I am a performer, I am not immune to people talking bad about me, especially when they want what I have,’ he told Andy.

‘When it comes to who I am as a man that is what I know, and that is what I know my wife knows, so I am secure in that.’

Kim then turned her own fire on Kenya, who had talked derogatively about her husband regularly on the show.

‘I think it is unfortunate that someone would just out and out lie,’ said Kim.

‘When you chose to attempt to assassinate a person’s character for no reason and do it behind their back was disgusting.’

Kenya was quick to defend herself.

‘First of all when you say that I lied, you are lying. I never lied. I did not make up the rumors, I brought up the fact that the rumors existed,’ she told Kim.

‘Each and every one of the women here had their laughter, fun and whatever that was - except for Cynthia and Sheree.’

Kandi Burruss quickly pointed out that she had not said anything about Chris.

‘We all had something to say, the reason that these ladies were even speaking about him was because of his behavior earlier that day that was so bad it warranted an apology from him,’ said Kenya coldly.

NeNe Leakes then revealed that in an unshown incident on a bus Chris had been yelling about the air on the bus and yelling at the women.

Chris insisted he had actually ’been mocking’ the women for their own temperamental behavior.

Chris then went straight at Kenya and repeatedly asked her to tell him who it was that called him ‘Chrissy’ as she had claimed friends of theirs did.

Kenya’s boyfriend Matt then stepped in and told Chris that she had answered his question.

Kim and Kenya then got into a shouting match over the timeline of their argument, with Fields telling producers ‘Roll the f***ing tape back.’

Sheree Whitfield stepped into the fracas and told Andy that she did not approve of the women gossiping about Chris.

‘If they can say it behind her back they should be able to say it to her face,’ she said.

Porsha Williams then threw Kenya under the bus insisting it had been all her.

‘It was implied by many, lets not try and backtrack, lets call a spade a spade,’ said Kenya.

The women then laughed as they insisted that all of the men on the show had ‘been made gay’ at some point.

‘No you ladies do. It seems like you are all kind of gay bashing and do this thing where you accuse him of being this way, making a big joke of it, it was taunting and derogatory, everybody. It was just not a pretty look.’

When Kenya began apologizing, Andy jumped in and called it a ‘crappy’ attempt and told her to do better than her ’s***y apology

‘I’m sorry, Christopher. If he was offended. How’s that?’

‘Awful,’ Christopher said bluntly.

Christopher then told his gay friends that he was sorry for how this had impacted them.

Earlier NeNe joined the party in a revealing jumpsuit.

NeNe said she felt comfortable going on the Jamaica trip and that she had no problem rekindling her friendship with Sheree.

Cynthia admitted that she had made a mistake not being clear about her feelings towards Kenya and said that although they were not BFF’s they were ‘very close and I love her.’

NeNe then told Andy Cohen that she and Kenya ‘Were in a much better place’ in their relationship.

‘I have just wanted to snatch Kenya’s eyes out of her head, I have never wanted to fight with Kenya, I think she just wants to fight with me,’ said NeNe as Kenya laughed and roared ‘Oh girl stop.’

‘We have a lot in common, we have our mothers and in the beginning that bonded us,’ Kenya told her her.

NeNe said that it felt like Kim did not want to be friends with anyone on the show and chose to isolate herself from the other women.

The show then rehashed the issues between Kenya and Sheree over their real estate issues.

Both women admitted they have not yet finished their homes and Kenya admitted that boyfriend Matt may move in when it is done.

NeNe and Kandi then went after Kim for her apparent double standards on some of the women suggestive clothing on their trips.

NeNe then turned her fire on Porsha, who she claims has changed and highlighted her love of twerking as evidence.

‘It’s not like I approve or disapprove, I really don’t care either way,’ said NeNe as Porsha admitted she hated being judged.

‘That hurt me. As a friend you had never mentioned you were not approving of who I am,’ Porsha told her.

‘Now that I am single and am exploring who I am it feels like I get put into this whole box, just because I like to have a good time and shake my ass does not mean that I do not have class,’ she said.

The husbands and boyfriends of the women then showed up to take part in the reunion.

Kenya’s boyfriend told Andy that he was now in love with Kenya, and she admitted she was as well.

Sheree told Andy that she and ex-husband Bob were working on their relationship and she was enjoying his company again.

Phaedra Parks again denied she called the federal authorities on Kandi and Cynthia after they showed up at their homes looking for stolen property belonging to Phaedra’s ex-husband Apollo Nida.

Todd Tucker was keen to confront Phaedra about the situation after she spoke about how he was running with her ex before his arrest.

‘You know so much about what Todd is doing, but Apollo was in your house and you didn’t know what the f**k he was doing?’ he told her.
