Poldark star Aidan Turner and his former flame Lenora Crichlow have sparked rumours that they have rekindled their romance.

Eagle-eyed fans picked up on the fact that the former Being Human co-stars are currently spending some time together in Los Angeles after his Poldark star Heida Reed shared an image of the pair on her Instagram page.

The actress, who stars alongside Aidan in the hit BBC series, simply captioned the snap, 'Being Humans in Los Angeles', in clear reference to the show in which Aidan and Lenora found love.

The former couple appeared to be in good spirits as Aidan, 32, could be seen with his hands behind his head while Lenora, 31, was leaning against a kitchen table with a wine glass and beer bottles around her.

Another image shared by Heida saw the group on sitting on the rooptop with Aidan and Lenora appearing to feature in the shot.

The former flames met in 2009 on the set of their BBC Three show in which he played a vampire and she played a ghost. 

They began dating before parting ways in 2011, which led Aidan to quit the series while Lenora continued her role on the show.

While Aidan has never discussed the split in much detail, he did hint that it was a source of great heartbreak for him.

The actor is quoted as saying: 'I don't know anyone on this planet who hasn't had their heart broken. It's happened to me. Love is love, it's the purest and rawest thing we have in life.' 

However, fans seem eager for the pair to reunite as one wrote: 'Omgggg are they back together!?'

After splitting from Lenora, Aidan went on to date Irish actress Sarah Greene for three years.

The couple separated last year and Aidan conformied the break-up in Novermber as he said: 'I like to keep my private life private for my own head. It's important to me that people don't know too much about me because I'm trying to play characters.

'Sometimes you see actors who are really good, but you have trouble separating that actor from the celebrity profile.'
