Glee favourite Kristin, 47, looked fantastic for her age in a black catsuit, which boasted white ruffles around the sleeves and the impressively plunging neckline.

Self-styled comic Rosie, 54, meanwhile showcased her ample curves in a black trouser suit, matching suit and shoes.

But they were far from the only fine fillies at the event, with scribblers Melissa Harris-Perry and Janet Mock effortlessly turning heads after attending in pleasantly figure-hugging gowns.

PFLAG, formerly known as Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, is the largest organization in the US for parents, families and friends of people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender.

'It’s a blessing (and a huge sacrifice) for a birth parent to make the decision to give his/her baby a better life. Sometimes people can’t take care of that baby just yet. (And their circumstances might change in 15 years.)'.

'If you’re thinking about adopting a child, remember that it’s a gift you’re getting and it comes with just as much responsibility as if you had your child biologically.'

'As an adopted child—I encourage other adoptees to remember what blessed lives we have. We weren’t abandoned; we were chosen. We were given a chance.'
