She's been throwing herself firmly into her acting career, with a number films in development.

But Denise Richard's proved she's never too busy when it comes to her children, as the actress and model took her three daughters shopping in Los Angeles, on Tuesday.

Heading out with her three girls, Sam, Lola and Eloise, the 44-year-old Wild Things actress looked well at ease playing mum - as she marshalled the girls around a Malibu supermarket.

Clearly a firm believer in the family pitching in together, the former Bond girl made sure that her three daughters all pitched in with the shop - as she had the them help her load the car.

And despite her apparent firm hand when it comes to everyone in the Richards' house pulling their weight, the actress cut a relaxed figure as she pushed a trolley laden with grocery bags out into the car park.

Oozing a laid-back vibe, Denise was clearly enjoying a day off from one of her various projects.

The World Is Not Enough actress, who was married to Charlie Sheen from 2002-2006, donned a comfy cotton tee-shirt that bore the rock band Journey's symbol.

She teamed her comfy top with a pair of bootcut denim jeans, which she teamed with a pair of black flip flops.

Keeping her look practical, for the job in hand, Denise only accessorised with a black leather handbag and a pair of oversized shades (a Hollywood staple).

She wore her long blonde locks loose and in a centre-parting, allowing her tresses to fall down around her face, while she chose to showcase her natural looks with a minimal palette of make-up.

Her daughters all followed their mother's laid-back style, and wore a variety of dressed down looks.

Sam, 12 and ten-year-old Lola - her daughters with Charlie Sheen - sported similar outfits with the girls both wearing leggings, and while Sam wore a comfy grey tee Lola chose to show off her musical tastes by wearing a Justin Bieber sweater.

Denise's youngest, Eloise, four - whom she independently adopted in 2011 - looked adorable in a pink gypsy skirt and white printed vest.

Denise looked relaxed and in high spirits despite reportedly being embroiled in a court battle with her ex-husband, Charlie.

Earlier this year TMZ reported that she is in the process of suing the Platoon star for $1.2 million.

The legal wrangle comes after Charlie had her and her daughters evicted from their Los Angeles home and then sent them abusive texts - according to court documents obtained by the site.

The troubled star also allegedly asked Denise and the girls to move into a nearby home he purchased in trust for the daughters.

However, after they moved, Sheen became erratic and abusive and had the family evicted from the property, court documents allege.
