'He was uncomfortable': Khloe Kardashian reveals nephew Mason struggled to adjust after Caitlyn Jenner's transition

The Kardashian-Jenner clan has long since embraced Caitlyn Jenner, who made her debut on the cover of Vanity Fair this past June.

However, in a teaser for an upcoming episode of Khloe Kardashian's chat show Kocktails with Khloe, the 31-year-old shared it was a harder process for some to accept than others.

One such example is her six-year-old nephew Mason Disick, who was confused by the transition and at first 'uncomfortable' around Caitlyn.

'He was confused because he was like, what are you doing, Grandpa?' Khloe explained of her sister Kourtney Kardashian's son, with ex Scott Disick.

However, the star shared that to try and alleviate the difficulty of the situation the family tried to be open and honest with Mason, 'as much as we can be.'

The Strong Looks Better Naked author shared that despite that, Mason - who was four or five at the time - was still a bit uncomfortable and 'distant' from Caitlyn in the beginning.

Luckily, Khloe said that Caitlyn 'handled it perfectly,' as she understood that it was a difficult concept for the child to process.

Of her sisters' younger children - such as Kourtney's three-year-old daughter Penelope or Kim Kardashian's two-year-old daughter North West - Khloe said that 'they don't know the difference.'

They just see the I Am Cait star as who she is now, Caitlyn, which Khloe described as 'the innocence of children.'

And Caitlyn was quickly spotted with granddaughter North after coming out, sharing an Instagram post alongside her family - including the tot - on Father's Day.

She was later seen alongside Kourtney's children - including son Mason - in a family photo that Kim shared on Instagram this past Thanksgiving.

Khloe opened up about Mason's reaction to Caitlyn's transition on an upcoming episode of her FYI chat show Kocktails with Khloe, which TMZ reported has been cancelled.

Meanwhile, she has another show in the works, Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian, which is set to air on the same network as her family's series Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
