Text-Factor! Make-up free Louisa Johnson is glued to her phone as she makes a laidback arrival at LAX in a bomber jacket

As the latest X Factor champ, Louisa Johnson is being offered the chance to work with the music industry's finest.

But the 18-year-old was positively consumed by her phone this week when she was spotted at LAX Airport in Los Angeles, California on Sunday.

Dressed for maximum comfort following a long-haul flight, the Essex native wore a statement khaki bomber jacket over a casual baby pink track suit.

She stood looking tired with her leg outstretched in a pair of white trainers, and clearly whatever was on her screen was the main priority.

Clutching on to the handle of a cart, which carried her pink and yellow suitcases along with a black leather holdall, she flashed a few quick glances at her surroundings before burying her gaze in her phone once again.

As a signal of the significant weather change from the UK, she balanced a pair of aviator sunglasses on her head.

She went without make-up and let her thick long locks frame her face without any particular styling about them.

The singer is moving forward with her recording career after her winner's single became the lowest performer in X Factor history and failed to make the 2015 Christmas top ten.

Producers also watched the show's ratings dip all season with popular judge Cheryl confirming her exit to MailOnline on Tuesday.

However, Essex native Louisa certainly proved why she beat Che Chesterman and Reggie 'N' Bollie to the win when she stormed the live tour earlier this year.

Whilst other finalists put on fantastic performances, all eyes were inevitably on the Rita Ora protege who put on an edgy display at each venue.

The tour which kicked off in Aberdeen on February 12 also visited cities such as Dublin, Nottingham and Liverpool.

The performances seem to have been a great confident boost for Louisa who talked to Fabulous magazine last year about being incredibly stressed - to the point she started losing weight.

'I was about seven stone and I had no shape. I was stressed and confused. You wouldn't even recognise me.'

She credited her downfall to the pressure of succeeding academically, whilst she harboured the hopes of being a performer.
