Don't they know who he is? David Arquette joined celebrities heading to Guns N' Roses Hollywood gig... but actor 'couldn't get in'

He was spotted hanging around in front of the Troubadour on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood ahead of the surprise Guns N' Roses gig there last Friday night.

But it turns out that David Arquette, who was photographed signing autographs for fans, apparently never made it past the front door into the concert after all.

While celebrities including Nicolas Cage, Lenny Kravitz, Kate Hudson and Chris Brown all got past the velvet rope, PageSix.com reported the former Scream star was left on the sidewalk.

'I don’t think I can get in,' Arquette was overheard telling a reporter for a Brazilian outlet, according to PageSix.com.

He then admitted he hadn't got tickets, adding: 'I’m gonna just try and listen on the radio.'

However, a rep for the actor disputed he ever intended to try and get in to see Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan perform.

Arquette owns a club Bootsy Bellows on the Sunset Strip and his reclaimed he'd gone down to the Troubadour to see if Gun N' Roses wanted to do an after-party at his venue.

'Management said they wanted to focus on doing the LA performance and Coachella and not do the party ultimately,' the statement said.

The ex-husband of Courteney Cox plans to see the rock band play at the music festival later this month.

Guns N' Roses, who hadn't played a gig together since 1993, caused pandemonium when they announced the surprise gig.

The Troubadour is of course almost synonymous with the band, as the group landed their first record deal with the monolithic Geffen Records after a show there back in the 1980s.

The band will next play a gig in Las Vegas on Saturday before heading to the Coachella festival in Indio, California, the following weekend.
