She has well and truly moved on with former One Direction star Zayn Malik.

But singer Cody Simpson has revealed the media hype around ex girlfriend Gigi Hadid's new romance doesn't bother him one jot.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the iHeartRadio Awards in Los Angeles over the weekend, the 19-year-old Australia said he's content with flying under the radar while Gigi, 20, keeps a high profile.

Moving on: Australian singing sensation Cody Simpson has revealed he's still on speaking terms with ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid and is happy for her new romance with former One Direction member Zayn Malik

'I think it's kinda a natural... it's just the way things go, I think you have to expect that kind of stuff,' Cody told the programme.

'I've kind of gone a different way and taken a little time for myself, just hanging out, keeping low key and working on my music,' he said.

Cody and Gigi's teenage romance came to an end for a second time in May 2015 after they dated on-off for two years.

Shortly after their break-up the stunning American model was linked to Joe Jonas and has recently publicly confirmed her relationship with Zayn, 23.

Despite this, the Gold Coast native admitted he's still on speaking terms with his former flame and wishes her nothing but the best for the future.

'I'm always very very happy for her and her career, I know how hard she has always worked to get to the point in the modelling industry she's at now,' Cody continued to ET.

'I couldn't be more proud of her. We still talk every now and then, it's nice.'

Rocking a pair of tight leather pants as he greeted fans, Cody finished his cool look with a white T-shirt, a casual denim shirt, which he wore unbuttoned, and a backwards baseball cap.
