Kevin Hart had one of those truly humbling encounters when a fan thought he was someone else.

The 36-year-old comedian took it all in stride though when a young brunette mistook him for 51-year-old fellow funny man Chris Rock.

Hart captured the hilarious exchange between him and the fan on video and posted it on social media.

Kevin showed what he good sport he is as he went along with the ruse and kept up the banter.

'These r the moments that I love (sic),' Kevin captioned the snap, adding: 'She really thinks that I'm "Chris Rock."'

He further wrote that moments such as these 'keep me humble.'

It all starts when the young unidentified brunette sidles over to Kevin as he's taping a selfie video.

'Are you Chris Rock?' she asks, to which he replies, 'Yes, I am. Pleasure to meet you.'

'You too!' she answers.

Kevin doesn't seem a bit put out of place as he adds that she should come to his fictitious show, 'You come to my show tonight. It's called Rock The World.'

Kevin hasn't done too bad, starring in such films as Ride Along and Ride Along 2 along with Think Like A Man and Get Hard in addition to his many television appearances.

Kevin also happened to host on SNL, Rock's former alma mater.

Of course, Chris Rock is a former Saturday NIght Love castmember who struck it big in such films as Down to Earth and the Madagascar movies.

Rock has hosted The Academy Awards twice, first in 2005 and again in February of this year.

Hart was even the target of Rock's jokes at this year's Oscars when the host quipped he had maintained the gig because 'the last thing I need to do is lose another job to Kevin Hart.'

Kevin took it all in stride though, posting a snap after the show of him and Rock and comedian Dave Chappelle.

'True professionals understand the importance of sticking together & supporting one another,' Hart wrote in the caption.
