And Alessandra Ambrosio has discussed how motherhood has affected her body in a chat with The Edit magazine, candidly admitting her figure has improved since giving birth.

The 34-year-old supermodel posed in a smouldering shoot to accompany the interview, in which she gave sporty looks a sexy edge with swimwear and sexy poses.

Spotted on a photoshoot, the Victoria's Secret angel rocked a silver one-piece teamed with a green jacket and white sneakers.

Alessandra looked incredible in the sexy shoot, particularly in a silver swimming costume which showed off her braless choice beneath.

A high-rise leg accentuated her lengthy, slender pins and taut derriere, which she pulled a khaki jacket over the top which gave a street feel.

Her hair was scraped into an extremely tight high ponytail with a black and white hairband pulled around, while her perfectly made-up face was shielded between a pair of mirrored sunglasses.

Proving the accessories were key, Alessandra she added hooped earrings which gave the look an edgy feel.

She kept her hair, make-up and accessories the same throughout yet flitted between three looks.

Her second racy look was a grey patterned bomber jacket layered over a grey bikini top which cupped her bosom and showed off her taut abs.

She added white high-top trainers and flirty chiffon sports shorts with an elasticated waist.

In the interview, she discussed how pregnancy has changed her body - insisting it has changed for the better.

She said: 'Your body will never go back to exactly what it was before pregnancy, whatever people tell you. It can’t. But I think I have a better body now than before I had kids.

'It’s partly because I work out, whereas before I didn’t, but also to do with the shape – it just looks more formed now and I feel better about it than I did.'

Despite the sexy nature of the shoot, Alessandra insists she is distancing herself from sexy shoots after becoming a mum, yet acknowledges her December shoot for Maxim was an exception.

She said: 'I used to be 100% comfortable on lingerie shoots – then I had a child, and it was more of a mental shift than anything else. Somehow it felt a bit weirder to be in lingerie once I was a mum.

'Although I did that cover for Maxim last year (naked but for a strategically placed newspaper), you don’t see anything.

When my daughter saw it, she asked, "Mummy, why do you have no clothes on?" And I said, "Mummy actually has a G-string on – it’s just so small you can’t see it."'

Despite her reluctance to pose for pictures how she used to, she insists she will persist in the modelling world for as long as she can.

The Brazilian-born beauty said: 'I started modeling at a very young age, and thought it would all end by the time I was 20; now I’m almost 35 and coming up to my 20th year in the industry.

'Although there might eventually come a time when I want to focus on other areas in my life, if I manage to keep going until I’m 50, like Cindy (Crawford), then great. You might die tomorrow, after all, so why make decisions about what you will and won’t do now?”
