That's gotta Bern! Hillary tries to show 'real New Yorker' Sanders how to ride the subway... but takes FIVE swipes to get through the turnstile and then only goes two stops
- Hillary Clinton took the New York City subway two stops today in the aftermath of Bernie Sanders calling her not 'qualified' to be president
- Clinton was thumbing her nose at an awkward Sanders interview in which he said the subway still used tokens, which were phased out by 2003
- Clinton used the transit system to travel two stops in the Bronx to meet the Today show's Matt Lauer for an interview

Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton rode the New York City subway today, in a swipe at Bernie Sanders who said in a recent interview that 'tokens' were still used to pay for the system.
But it was the swiping of a Metrocard that tripped Clinton up, with the former senator from New York swiping her card nearly five times before entering a Bronx station.
America Rising PAC – which produces opposition research against Democrats – already called out Clinton for her multiple swipes, calling it 'SHOCKING' video of an 'out-of-touch' candidate struggling to use her Metrocard.

Clinton's journey started from the 161st Street Station at Yankee Stadium and she just went two stops to the 170th Street Station on the 4 train, according to CNN.
The candidate was joined on the ride by Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., members of her staff and some press.
Clinton told CNN she hadn't ridden the transit system in a year and a half or maybe two years.
That was meant to distinguish herself from Brooklyn-born Sanders, who was asked by New York Daily News editorial board members, 'How do you ride the subway today.'
Sanders had previously said that he had ridden the system about a year ago, 'but I know how to ride the subways, I've been on them once or twice.'

Hillary Clinton's two-stop subway ride was to get her in position to meet up with the Today show's Matt Lauer as the two are sitting down today for an interview that airs tomorrow
When prodded Sanders replied, 'What do you mean, "How do you ride the subway?"'
The interviewer tried again: 'How do you get on the subway today?'
'You get a token and you get in,' the Vermont senator answered.
Tokens haven't been used since 2003.
The journalist simply replied, 'wrong.'
'You jump over the turnstile,' Sanders said, making a joke out of the query.
'We would like our photographer to be there when you jump over the turnstile,' one of the board members replied before the Q&A moved on.
Clinton's move today was to show people that she knew better, on the heels of Sanders saying she wasn't 'qualified' to be president at a campaign rally last night.

Clinton's two-stop publicity stunt ended with the candidate setting foot in another Bronx location, not for a campaign event, but for a sit-down interview with the Today show's Matt Lauer.
Lauer jumped on Sanders' 'qualified' comment, asking for Clinton's reaction.
As for her qualifications for the highest office, 'that will be up to the voters of New York and the other states that will be passing judgment in the weeks ahead,' she said.
'I think it's kind of a silly statement,' she added.
'But he's free to say whatever he chooses,' she noted.
Lauer then asked if Clinton thought Sanders was 'qualified' to be president.
'Here's what I believe,' Clinton replied. 'I believe that voters will be looking at both of us. But I will take Bernie Sanders over Donald Trump or Ted Cruz anytime.'
