'Good things are coming': Madonna shares snap of lookalike daughter Lourdes... as she takes hopeful stance in face of custody battle over son Rocco

Madonna has vowed that 'good things are coming' in a defiant new Instagram post. 

The legendary hitmaker is currently embroiled in a heated custody battle over her and Guy Ritchie's son Rocco - yet her latest post seems to show that she is confident about the outcome. 

The 57-year-old also shared a snap of her daughter Lourdes, with a young picture of herself alongside - showing the uncanny likeness of the duo.

Madonna proudly shared an image of Lourdes as she boasted an edgy undercut in a picture that was taken from the side. 

The Like A Virgin singer then shared an image of herself beside, seemingly from the 1980s, in which she featured the same haircut while posing in a similar style.  

She posted a caption on the shot, which simply read: 'Ballerz', a short note for her 6.6million followers on the photosharing site.

The iconic star then shared a smouldering selfie in which she glared at the camera while her face was framed with her lustrous blonde locks. 

She captioned the image: 'YES! Good things are coming!' - potentially alluding to her battle over Rocco's custody.

A custody battle has raged on between Madonna and Guy since the beginning of the year, when the question of Rocco's preferred residency occured when the teenager was on tour with his mother in Europe over winter.

Following a series of pit stops across the continent, Rocco - Madonna and Guy's only natural child from their eight year marriage - decided to stay in England with his father and has yet to return to New York, where he previously resided with his mother.

Since January the Snatch director, who is now married to model Jaqui Ainsley, and his ex have been wrangling over the best place for their son to reside: London or New York.
