David Bowie's widow Iman was seen in New York City on Wednesday, just days after announcing the death of her mother.

The Somali supermodel, who lost her famous husband to cancer three months ago, is now mourning the passing of Marian Abdulmajid.

The 60-year-old was seen strolling through the city by herself while wearing dark sunglasses.

Iman was bundled up in a warm padded jacket and flared denims and wore a large black knitted beanie pulled down over her long hair.

She hid her face behind a pair of large sunglasses and carried a cotton shopping bag.

The stoic beauty has been sharing inspirational messages via her Instagram, reflecting her struggle to find a way forward despite her personal losses, and n Wednesday she posted: 'Do it now. Sometimes 'later' becomes 'never'.'

In sharing the news of her beloved mother's death, Iman posted a photo from her April 1992 wedding to Bowie showing the couple with her parents.

‘May Allah grant her the highest jannah,' she wrote. 

Jannah is considered an eternal paradise by Muslims.

Iman was married to Bowie for nearly 24 years until his death from cancer on January 10  following a secret 18-month battle with illness.He was 69.

The couple had one daughter, 15-year-old Alexandria Zahra, known as Lexi

Meanwhile, in his native Britain, the late rock star has dominated the music charts in the first quarter of 2016.

Three of his albums are currently in the top 10, according to Yahoo! UK - Blackstar, 2002’s Best Of Bowie and 2014's Nothing Has Changed (The Very Best of Bowie).
