Demi Lovato took quite a spill as she tripped onstage in front of a 16,000 strong audience on Thursday in Inglewood, California.

The 23-year-old walked out onto the stage, after previously performing without a hitch, to introduce Reilly Fox when she suddenly fell over.

The crowd however, incessantly chanted Demi's name until she returned to finally introduce the Kick Like A Girl speaker.

Last year, Demi took another fall onstage during a Jingle Ball in New York City. 

She later tweeted about the moment: 'Guys don't you get it by now? Only cool kids fall on stage'. 

Meanwhile, the star arrived to the event in a black crop top, a sexy blazer and a pair of high-waist trousers which practically skimmed the floor.

She had her raven black hair slicked back over her head as she cast a sultry expression on the red carpet with a hand on her hip. 

The Confident singer was preened to perfection as per usual, having slicked on a rosy shade of lipstick and a bit of blush to highlight her complexion.

Jet black mascara completed the glam red carpet look. 

Demi was was among the stars performing for a crowd made up of students, educators and others at the inspiring event, which served to recognise the impact young make can make around the globe.

It's just the third red carpet appearance Demi has made in just over a week, having previously been seen at the iHeartRadio Awards and at the GLAAD Media Awards as well.

The songbird was even sent a congratulatory letter from presidential candidate Hillary Clinton.

Demi, who has shown her support for the candidate, posted the letter on her social media accounts, giving it the caption, 'Just before the #glaadawards saturday I got this amazing and thoughtful message from an equally amazing woman, @HillaryClinton.
