They've been working hard on the set of xXx: The Return of Xander Cage.

But Ruby Rose broke away from routine and proved there's never a dull moment when she's around.

The teal-haired 30-year-old has played several multiple pranks on her co-star Nina Dobrev, leaving the Vampire Diaries actress in stitches.

In her most recent video uploaded to Instagram, the Melbourne native took to the 27-year-old’s trailer with fart bombs.

Recording the moment, the Orange Is The New Black actress can be seen tossing the square shaped bombs into the brunette beauty’s motor home.

Counting down the moment before they exploded, the former MTV VJ holds back her cameraman before they start to explode.

Once they started exploding, screams within the trailer can be heard.

Ruby then closes the door on the mobile home to keep the foul smell oozing from the small packages inside.

She captioned the short flick: ‘Sometime you have to go old school on 'em sorry @ninadobrev you made there be sides!!’

The ensemble included a tartan bodice with sheer detailing across the stomach.

Ruby can be seen steaming the sexy dress which ended in a thigh-skimming pleated skirt.

She wrote alongside the picture: 'When you're shooting press today and you take @ninadobrevcostume and replace it with a dress from a.. Nevermind how I got it. Hahaha [sic].'

In another video, Nina enters her trailer and is confronted with countless images of the Orange Is The New Black actress.

As Nina begins to laugh, Ruby feigned concern, asking, 'What the hell is this, man? Dude, this is not okay. Are you obsessed with me?'

The photos were actually placed by Ruby, who captioned the video, 'When you go to say hi to @ninadobrev but she has 100 photos in her trailer of you and it's awkward because you're trying to be professional.'

The prank was done in retaliation for one pulled on Ruby last week by Nina, who popped out of a corner and scared Ruby as she entered her trailer.
