'It was chaos': Kocktails With Khloe 'cancelled due to drama behind the scenes... as it's claimed staff were fed up of Kardashian's desire to call the shots'

It's been claimed drama behind the scenes is to blame for the cancellation of Kocktails With Khloe.

According to Page Six, the Khloe Kardashian talk show boasted high ratings but insiders have alleged that the axing was down to a lack of agreement on the direction of the show.

It's also been suggested that the 31-year-old host was not popular with staff, with a source telling the publication: 'It was chaos. Nobody agreed with anybody else about what it should be or what direction it should be going.'

Another insider added: "Khloé's used to being on a smash-hit show ['Keeping Up With the Kardashians'] and being able to call the shots. But it's not like that on a small show . . . Eventually everyone had enough."

MailOnline have contacted Khloe's representative for comment.

Meanwhile, Khloe has pledged to go 'out with a bang' when the final episode of her talk show airs on April 20.

'I'm not going anywhere,' the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star wrote of her future plans on Twitter, as FYI Network confirmed it had had axed production of Kocktails with Khloe.

And despite reports to the contrary, Khloe insisted: 'I've enjoyed every second of shooting.'

Insiders claim both Khloe and executives were unhappy, telling TMZ Khloe had 'checked out' and had no interest in shooting another season.

In a statement issued to The Hollywood Reporter, bosses at FYI and Pilgrim Media Group insisted the show had been good for the channel.

'The show brought new viewers and significant numbers to FYI’s linear and digital platforms, they said in a joint statement. 'We are grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Khloé and thank her for her hard work and unique voice that she brought to the series.'

The decision is surprising, coming just two months after FYI gave the primetime talk show an order for 15 extra episodes, on top of the original eight-episode order back in July 2015, when it was greenlit to series.

Rather than the 23 ordered episodes, just 14 will have aired when the show goes off the air later this month.

Already moving on: News of the show's axing came as Khloe and her family enjoyed a ski trip to Vail, Colorado

It follows the same fate as Kris Jenner's talk show, which flopped three years ago.

Khloe has struggled to find enduring TV success outside of Keeping Up With The Kardashians - she was axed as the host of the US X Factor in 2013.

The news of the show's axing came as Khloe and her family enjoyed a ski trip to Vail, Colorado.

The 31-year-old has exploited her contacts to find guests for her show, enlisting each of her sisters to take part, along with family friends such as Chrissy Teigen, Snoop Dogg and P Diddy.

But she has struggled to land big names, instead relying upon on an array of reality stars to fill her seats.

This must have been a disappointment for the Khloe - who had listed A-listers Beyonce and Rihanna as her dream guests before the show first aired.

'I mean I love Beyoncé, who doesn't?' she told E! back in January. 'I don't know if she drinks though, I wanna get someone a little loose. But I mean Rihanna's fun and Rihanna will drink I feel like, we could do some shots.'

The show's concept was based upon an evening in with Khloe and pals. A cocktail of the night was served, as guests sat around a table and put the world to rights.

Conversation was controlled by Khloe, who opened up about her own personal life in a bid to enliven proceedings.

But while there had been some stand out moments -  not least Khloe's revelation that sister's Kim and Kourtney were 'obsessed' with re-virginising their vaginas post-childbirth - the show already seemed to be running out of steam.

Ratings were initially high for the cable channel, but had fallen off in recent weeks, despite Khloe's best efforts.

Then this week it was reported that Khloe had cancelled a recording of her show, after worries about her estranged husband Lamar Odom - who was photographed out drinking last week.

Of course, having her own show was certainly a lot of work, with Khloe facing days of prep, filming, then promoting the show on social media.

For someone famous for a reality show - for which all she need do is enjoy lunches and outings with her sisters, it must have seemed rather a grueling schedule.

Meanwhile while Khloe's show has failed, she has been busy supporting her friends efforts - appearing on Snoop Dogg's web series on Tuesday.

She opened up about her sister Kim's 72-day marriage to Kris Humphries - revealing she warned her off marrying the sports star.

'I said what I had to say and I am not just going to dumb myself down and act like this guy was not a f***ing joke. For what? So I said the truth and in hindsight, I think later, she was like "You know you were right." That takes a bigger person to come back later and say, "You know what sister, you were right."'
