Picture Perfect! Anna Kendrick shows off her long legs as she makes an early start to promote new film Mr Right in New York

She's known for her perky persona and sharp wit.

And that get up and go attitude came in handy as Anna Kendrick got up at the crack of dawn to promote her new movie Mr Right on Good Morning America on Thursday.

Despite the early hour the 30-year-old Pitch Perfect star looked perfectly presented as she visited the morning talk show to promote her latest film, in which she stars alongside Sam Rockwell.

Anna arrived at the show in New York City wearing a blood orange mini-dress, coupled with an equally short pea-coat.

The Twilight star complimented the short little number with a pair of killer white and red patterned stiletto heels.

While on the show, Anna and her co-star, 47-year-old Sam were interviewed by co-host Amy Robach and they both spilled the beans on what it was like getting into character.

'I thought, I love this girl, she is a psycho,' said Anna.

'She’s an absolute psycho from page one and then Sam puts a gun in her hand and it’s absolute chaos.

Her character, Martha, meets Francis, played by Rockwell, her ideal guy who turns out to be a 'reverse hit-man' killing those who employ him.

Jet set star: Later that day, Anna was seen casually dressed and make-up free as she arrived at LAX

Although this is initially an incomprehensible flaw for Anna's character to stomach, Francis quickly develops his own way of wooing his new girlfriend - with rhythm.

Sam described his character in the film as 'a dancing, killing machine', borrowing moves from the likes of James Brown and Fred Astaire.

Mr Right opens in theaters on April 8.
