'It's a joy to find her doing what she loves': Ben Falcone admits he's very proud of wife Melissa McCarthy's career success

They've been married for over a decade, share two gorgeous daughters and even recently worked together on new flick The Boss.

So it's no surprise that Melissa McCarthy and husband Bel Falcone are happier than ever.

Speaking to The Daily Telegraph recently, 42-year-old Ben said: 'We know how lucky we are as a couple'.

While 45-year-old Melissa stars in The Boss, which her husband directed and wrote, Ben is more than happy with his love being the big star of the moment, while he sits by the sidelines and celebrates her success.

'I’m hopeful it can continue, ’cos it’s a joy to find her doing what she loves and to be sitting in the audience hearing people laughing — that’s an undervalued commodity in the world,' he said.

The pair tied the knot back in October 2005 and share two daughters Vivian, eight, and Georgette, six.

When attending the Australian premiere of their new film The Boss in Sydney in March, Melissa told Daily Mail Australia that she believed the secret to a successful marriage was having 'patience and kindness'.

'We have always been lucky that we have worked together for so long but we see the same thing and we have had the same goals,' the Spy star explained.

Ben agreed, saying that the pair share a mutual love and respect for one another and always make sure to give each other space.

'I think that how we met, writing and performing together, and we love each other and respect each other and we give each other lots of breaks,' the actor and writer said.

Adding: 'I guess there is lots of secrets!'

Melissa and Ben jetted into Sydney, Australia in March to promote the The Boss and admitted they were extremely excited for their first visit Down Under.

'It feels great, it feels dandy! It's our first time in Sydney - we are hopping we can squeeze in as many things as we can,' she gushed.

Melissa stars in The Boss - which she helped write - as the successful businesswoman Michelle, who heads to jail for insider training and gets out trying to reinvent herself.

Ben directed the flick and also wrote it.

The pair have worked together on a number of films including Bridesmaids, Tammy, The Heat, The Nines and Spy.
