He's used to staying at some of the world's most famous hotels, surrounded by his entourage and 24 service.

But outspoken rapper Kanye West left his ego at home as he flew to a remote Scottish island to record the video for his new single Waves.

The star, famed for his on-stage rants and Twitter spats, was politeness personified during his short visit to the family run guesthouse, which boasts just 14 bedrooms.

The owners, Annie Gracie and Ken Gunn, have now heaped praise on the star and insist he's 'welcome back any time'.

Ms Gracie said: 'Kanye was the perfect guest - charming, courteous and polite.

'We were delighted to offer him and his companions our usual Highland hospitality and would welcome him back any time.'

Of course, being Kim Kardashian's husband, Kanye had one special request for the owers; his team took up half of the rooms on offer.

The star's own room was the largest in the property, complete with a four-poster bed.

After checking in, Kanye did some filming amid some of the island's famous scenery.

He then returned to the hotel for a meal ahead of leaving via Inverness airport.

Life of Pablo: The album which the rapper debuted at a fashion show at New York's Madison Square Garden, has now gone straight to number on the Billboard 200 chart, nearly two months after its release

Kanye was in the UK to promote his latest album The Life of Pablo which was launched in February -  and flew back to the States on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Kanye has made music history in America as the first artist to reach number one on the US album chart mostly through streaming.

The Life of Pablo, which the rapper debuted at a fashion show at New York's Madison Square Garden, was only available through Tidal to start with.

But the album was put on rival sites earlier this month and has now gone straight to number on the Billboard 200 chart, nearly two months after its release.
