PICTURE EXCLUSIVE: Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness look the picture of happiness as they frolic in the sea in St Barts while celebrating their 20th wedding anniversary

They've jetted to St Barts to celebrate their 20th wedding anniversary.

And Hugh Jackman, 47, and Deborra-Lee Furness, 60, looked as much in love now as they did when they said their vows in 1996 while frolicking in the island's tropical waters on Sunday.

Swimming away from shore, the couple put on a close display as they clung on to one another and bobbed up and down with the gentle lull of the water.

The sun beat down on the lovebirds as they floated without a care in the world, content in one another's company. Hugh reclined in the calm water and looked relaxed as he laid with his front facing the sky.

Making their way back to shallower waters, the smitten couple playfully stood hand in hand and had each other in fits of laughter as the headed towards the white sandy beach.

A keen gym-goer, the chiselled actor's rippling torso was on display as he waded through the shallows beside his wife.

Deborra was in a playful mood, throwing her hands up in the air and pulling a shocked facial expression much to the amusement of Hugh.

It appeared that the 60-year-old misjudged the strength of surf, falling to her hands and knees as Hugh held out a chivalrous hand to help her back on her feet.

The incident only served to provide more laughter with the couple unable to stop smiling on their romantic getaway.

The Les Mis star gazed adoringly at his other half, his dark locks slicked back and a thick beard only serving to enhance his rugged manliness.

Deborra wore a black swimsuit and a pair of stylish shades, while she tied up her blonde locks in a messy updo. The doting husband clearly still had the hots for his wife, unable to take his gaze away from the actress.

Hunky Hugh nearly suffered a wardrobe malfunction after enjoying a solo swim in the tropical waters.

As he returned to dry land, it appeared his swimshort ties came undone with the actor forced to tighten them to preserve his modesty. Once he'd fixed his shorts he hurriedly made his way through the choppy surf, presumably keen to not get caught in its powerful pull.

Once back on dry land, the couple strolled side by side back to their belongings which they left on a row of deserted sun-loungers. Deborra looked over her shoulder for a final glimpse at the sea before gathering up her clothes and leaving with her man.

The star has recently been on the promotional trail for his latest film Eddie the Eagle in which he stars alongside Taron Egerton.

While on the white carpet in Sydney, the Wolverine star admitted he was planning a private couple's getaway to celebrate their milestone.

‘It’ll be just the two of us,’ he told The Daily Telegraph. ‘We love the kids but they can rack off and find something else to do for a week. We want to relive our honeymoon.’

The Hollywood stars, who are parents to Oscar and Ava, tied the knot in Melbourne in 1996 after meeting on the set of Australian TV show Correlli a year before.

He also joked about his anniversary on Sunrise, saying his life's motto is 'happy wife, happy life'.

Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the Les Miserable star said: 'She's the greatest thing that ever happened to me and it gets better and better.'

Adding: 'And I'm kind of really grateful that I met [her] before anything kind of happened because everything that's happened in my career and on screen, off screen - we've always done it together.'
