Worst heroes ever! Margot Robbie, Jared Leto and Will Smith share a laugh with the rest of the Suicide Squad at CinemaCon

Their choices are life in jail or almost certain death.

But the Suicide Squad didn't seem too down about it as they shared a laugh at CinemaCon on Tuesday.

The star-studded cast were all on hand in Las Vegas while Warner Bros touted some of its upcoming comic book titles, which will start with the bad guy ensemble on August 5.

Two cast members who looked particularly cosy were Jared Leto and Margot Robbie, who play The Joker and his canonical on-off girlfriend Harley Quinn.

Others may not have been instantly recognisable from their on screen personas, including Jay Hernandez whose face is covered in tattoos as the pyromancer El Diablo, or Karen Fukuhara who plays the mask-wearing Katana, wielder of the sword Soultaker.

Certainly the hardest to recognise off screen was Lost star Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who plays the scaled monstrosity Killer Croc.

Jai Courtney who plays Boomerang, Adam Beach AKA Slipknot and Joel Kinnaman who stars as Rick Flag were all a little easier to spot in their civvies.

Dead centre of the commotion as usual was Will Smith, who in the film plays the lethal assassin Deadshot.

Cara Delavingne who plays the possessed Enchantress was also on hand; fans have speculated that the Suicide Squad are scrambled to take down either her or Leto's Joker.

The latest trailer for the upcoming supervillain flick was unveiled on Sunday night at the MTV Movie Awards, and it featured several Batman scenes.

It was announced at CinemaCon that Ben Affleck will get the rumoured standalone Batman film, which he will also direct.

Ben's rep previously revealed that the actor had already penned a script for the Caped Crusader, although it is not known if this is the one being used for the film.

While the recent Batman V Superman may not have been to everybody's taste, the 43-year-old's performance as the Dark Knight was almost universally praised.
