Her movie career was once compared to 'box office death' but this star appears to have found light at the end of the tunnel.

Katherine Heigl was looking happy and bright as she strolled through Los Angeles International Airport shortly after landing on Tuesday.

The 37-year-old actress hit a high note while clad in a loose knit fuchsia jumper over tight faded jeans and white shirt, and no doubt that very large coffee helped to put her in a peppy mood.

Katherine clutched her tall Starbucks beverage while smiling from behind her chic tinted shades as she made her way through the terminal in her comfortable looking light brown boots.

She appeared to be trailed by an airport staffer pushing a cart loaded up with luggage.

Katherine may have gotten some shopping done too at the duty-free shop judging by that bright orange bag looped over one wrist.

She had a stylish grey leather tote slung over her other shoulder while her short blonde locks were curled into a retro style.

Katherine, who used to command $12 million a picture, hasn't had a huge box office hit since 2009's The Ugly Truth, and her recent return to television caved in with the cancellation of State Of Affairs after one low-rated season last year.

But no matter - Katherine looked like she hadn't a care in the world.

The mother-of-two, who lives in Utah with her singer husband Josh Kelley and their two daughters, Naleigh and Adalaide, recently teased a joint project with her spouse of nearly nine years on social media.

'Been working on a secret project with @joshbkelley. The clock's ticking! Stay tuned...,' Katherine wrote in the caption, adding: '#ItsYourMove @forloveandlemons @lnaclothing'

She followed that up with another shot of her lying on the bed while a make-up artist touched up her lip liner.

Katherine wrote alongside the image: 'Breakup or makeup...? #ItsYourMove to my amazing glam team @davidbabaii hair and @debraferullomakeup Wearing @forloveandlemons @joshbkelley project!'

She also has the Warner Bros. thriller Unforgettable due to hit theaters in the US later this year.
