It's Marvel time! Robert Downey Jr and wife Susan hold hands as they hit red carpet for Captain America: Civil War premiere in LA

Robert Downey Jr gave a thumbs up as he walked onto the red carpet for the the premiere of Captain America at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on Tuesday.

The 51-year-old veteran actor was accompanied by his wife Susan and both looked like A-listers in black.

Also at the event were Emily VanCamp, Chris Evans and Paul Bettany.

VanCamp nailed her style choice for the evening.

The 29-year-old blonde beauty looked stunning in a black halter gown with a cut out on the stomach and a slit up the side.

VanCamp, a Canadian actress, also wore strappy heels that showed off a pale pink pedicure.

The beauty shinned even brighter thanks to wore Tiffany & Co. with the star dripping in Elsa Peretti pieces including a gold cuff with green jade and diamond earrings and Tiffany as well as T Wire rings with diamonds.

Paul Rudd, who plays Ant Man, wore a dark grey suit with a striped tie. A white shirt gave him a clean-cut look. Black dress shoes were just right.

Luke Mitchell wore a blue tuxedo jacket with an untucked white shirt and no tie. His hair was gelled and he had on a more-than five-o-clock shadow.

Chloe Bennett - in a red dress - and Lydia Hearst - in a multiciloured number with strappy tie-up heels - looked well styled and coiffed.

Maria Menounos won points for a chic wrap dress and heels. Her hair was parted on the side and looked especially glam.
