It may have been the evening after the night before, but that didn't stop Ryan Phillippe's girlfriend Paulina Slagter pulling out all the stops when they headed out for a romantic dinner together.

While the actor opted for a low-key look, the 22-year-old wowed in a vibrant dress when they were spotted at Miami's Seasalt & Pepper restaurant.

It was hard to miss hard the law student's long pins in the short number, as she outshone her beau.

With his hand tucked in his pocket, the Cruel Intentions star looked causal and sunkissed as the pair holiday together after celebrating new year in the city.

The lucky couple were personally sent dishes to try by chef Alfredo Alvarez during their night out, Just Jared has reported.

Ryan gave fans a little too much information earlier in the day, when he tweeted: 'Yesterday a bird s**t in my friend's cappuccino. Happy New Year!'

Sources said they were 'all over each other' and 'very affectionate' while dancing at the venue.

A source told Page Six, Ryan was overheard describing his relationship with his girlfriend, whom he has been dating since December 2011, as 'serious.'
