Note: An ITS Competition has been announced, please submit your projects for a chance to win a tabletop!

Welcome to the website for the ACM International Conference on Interactive Tabletops and Surfaces, to be held on November 23–25, 2009, in Banff, Alberta, in Western Canada.

Based on the overwhelming success of the previous Tabletop/TIS workshops, ITS 2009 is moving to a »conference« status and is introducing some new forums to its technical program, including invited Tutorials and Interactive Posters.

ITS is a premier venue for presenting research in the design and use of new and emerging tabletop and interactive surface technologies. As a new community, we embrace the growth of the discipline in a wide variety of areas, including innovations in ITS hardware, software, interaction design, and studies expanding our understanding of design considerations of ITS technologies and of their applications in modern society.

ITS 2009 will bring together top researchers and practitioners who are interested in both the technical and human aspects of interactive tabletop and surface technologies. The main submission deadline will be on July 3, 2009; a complete Call for Participation is available.

On behalf of the conference organizing committee, we invite you to begin planning your submissions and participation for this year's conference!
