Trust Your Eyes...

by Linwood Barclay

Wow! What a ride...I had never heard of this author before (which doesn't mean much) before being sent this book for review.  I walked into my hair salon with it the other day and a woman literally grabbed it out of my hands and asked if it was the latest!  She said she had read all of them and how had I gotten his new one already?

So with that said, this book with every chapter has so many twists and turns it will have your head spinning.  It starts off with Thomas, a psychizophrenic, traveling the streets of a major U.S. city.  Or so it would first appear.  Then we realize he is only doing this virtually via his computer.  And while he is on this virtual travel he witnesses what appears to be a murder.

Then comes a scandal with a waitress, an Attorney General and his wife.

We also have the accidental death of a father, that may not be so accidental after all and may involve child prostitution and the son who is trying to understand and juggle Thomas, his Dad's death, and the unsettling events that are unfolding before his eyes leaves you hanging waiting to read the next chapter.

Okay, I don't want to give anything away so you MUST find out for yourself.  I know you want to!!!

Financial Aid Infographic

Below is a great infographic about navigating the financial aid process. (I love infographics!)

If you are a parent trying to save for college you know that finding and saving money for your child's college education is a daunting task at best, and quite overwhelming.

The cost of a college education today is roughly $21,000 for a public college and double that figure for a private college.  Yikes!  How can you afford college?  By taking advantage of financial aid.

You can also pursue student loans but make sure you carefully study the different types of loans you can apply for and compare them against getting a private loan from a bank.

Do You Need a Criminal Defense Attorney?

No one ever wants to need a criminal defense attorney.  Am I right?  Unfortunately, at some point in a person’s life they may find themselves in a situation where they have been arrested.  And they need a criminal defense lawyer…now.
In Los Angeles, California, you have many choices for criminal defense law firms due to the high population of one of the largest cities in the United States; as well as the second highest populated state in the U.S.  Finding a California criminal lawyer that can represent your rights is crucial to get you through this difficult time in your life.
A Los Angeles criminal defense lawyer , will provide you with the peace of mind you need to know that everything is under control when it obviously feels otherwise.
If you have been arrested for a DUI without probable cause, you need to contact a criminal defense lawyer to protect your rights.  The law when it applies to DUI’s and whether the arresting officer properly notified you of your rights can be subjected to scrutiny.
In addition, did you know that a breathalyzer test is +/- 10% accurate? That’s a pretty significant error rate for something that may take away your ability to drive for a very long time, and wreak havoc with your future job employment.
Do your research when it comes to hiring a criminal defense attorney to ensure and protect your future.

Falling Apart in One Piece: One Optimist's Journey Through the Hell of Divorce [Hardcover]

by Stacy Morrison

This is a fantastic, raw, story about one woman's journey through the land of divorce. I feel blessed that she shared her story to help so many others who share the same story.

Whereas a friend told me that everyone experiencing this journey shares the same story, it's those that are willing and able to truly tell it from the heart, and expose their underbelly of pure raw pain, to the world, where the story changes. Every story comes out different in the end although it may have started out the same.

I am glad that Stacy shared hers in the hope that it helped just one person bear their journey a little longer.

I know it did this for me.

So thank you Stacy.

IdentityHawk

Have you ever been the victim of identity theft or know of someone who has?  Are you concerned that your identity could be stolen from you and it could take years for you to resolve all the problems that would present?

I had a friend who had it happen.  For months he was unable to figure out who stole his identity.  Even after closing accounts and opening new ones, because the theft was of his social security number that had been stolen, he couldn’t keep up with the new credit cards the identity thief continued to open.

In the end he spent years and thousands of dollars in trying to resolve this issue.  Don’t let this happen to you!

The solution? Consider using IdentityHawk which is an all-inclusive identity theft solution to protect your identity.

This service provides you with identity theft protection.  They offer the ability to monitor your credit score via reporting from all three credit bureau agencies.  Any changes that occur to your score are immediately reported to you via email.

IdentityHawk also provides an identity health score to advise you of potential vulnerabilities in your security.

Lastly, they provide you with the peace of mind you need to know there is a company out there that has your back when it comes to your life.
