They certainly had something to celebrate on Friday, as it marked the five-year anniversary of when they tied the knot at a private ceremony in California.

And LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian rang in the occasion soaking up the sun in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with some friends.

The 33-year-old country crooner showed off her enviable figure in a teeny, string bikini during the romantic getaway, on which the two cozied up by the pool.

He could be seen beckoning to the star from his position in the water, and LeAnn showed off a smile as she made her way toward him, with her gentlemanly partner lending a hand to help.

Eddie was 23 at the time, and LeAnn - who was almost unrecognizable with blunt bangs - explained in the caption that the two don't even remember meeting.

Eddie and LeAnn met on the set of the Lifetime television movie Northern Lights. At the time, LeAnn was also still married to ex Dean Sheremet.

'Who knew we'd meet again?' LeAnn also shared this gem of a throwback, showing that - unbeknownst to them - she and her now-husband had met back when she was only 14 and he was 23

They both left their respective partners and got engaged in December 2010 before marrying in April 2011 at their seafront home in Malibu, California.

Eddie has two sons with his ex-wife Brandi Glanville who filed for divorce after learning of his affair with the singer. They had been married for eight years.
