Abdeslam, a French passport holder who was brought up in Brussels, is seen walking into the restaurant (pictured, right) at 9.40pm, on a warm Friday night. The terrorist walks towards an empty table, before lowering his head, covering his head with his left hand (left), and then detonating his suicide belt. It unleashes chaos in the restaurant, killing Abdeslam and releasing a cloud of white smoke, but everyone else inside escaped with their lives, with diners suffering only minor injuries. It was the same night of terror in which co-ordinated attacks killed 130 people in the city.

KATIE HOPKINS: Why after this weekend I cry for England and St George

KATIE HOPKINS: Why after this weekend I cry for England and St George

It's a funny old thing being English. Just look what we've done with Saint George - consigned him to the corners of our country where only a patriotic few celebrate him, and given his place to a new, more forgiving figure: Shakespeare. It seems Saint George is no longer the acceptable face of England - too nationalistic, too traditional, speaking to a pride it is no longer acceptable to feel. If you need a visual reference for this Acceptable Britain, the cherry-picked crowd fawning over President Obama was a perfect example. My grandfather, who fought in the war, is still soldiering on at 98, but I am supposed to be more proud of a sexually 'non-binary' student (pictured right) who decided not to tell her parents about her choice not to identify as having male OR female sexuality but to announce it to the visiting President Obama instead.
