Beyonce unexpectedly cancels Formation World Tour concert in Nashville next week... amid reports 'the venue was not sold out'

Beyonce has unexpectedly cancelled her Formation World Tour gig next week in Nashville, Tennesse.

The news was announced Friday by concert promoter Live Nation, but no reason or explanation was given, according to The Tennessean.

However, the outlet did note that it appears Beyonce's Nashville show had not sold out, unlike concerts scheduled in other cities.

Meanwhile, the pop superstar's concert Friday night in Tampa, Florida, is expected to go ahead as planned, as are next week's stops in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Atlanta, Georgia.

Nashville was set to be the fifth stop on her tour that kicked off Wednesday night in Miami, but now it will be rescheduled to a later and still unknown date.

'Nashville tickets holders are advised to retain their tickets which will be honored at the rescheduled event,' Live Nation said in the statement. 'There are no changes to any additional dates on this tour.'

TMZ speculated that the cancellation might be linked to the ongoing renovations at the home of the Tennessee Titans which include adding new seats.

Her tour has garnered added attention due to the surprise release of her new album Lemonade last weekend and the accompanying visual album on HBO in which she hits out att her husband's infidelity and preaches about female empowerment.

When she performs the song Sorry, about her man's cheating, she's seen swinging a baseball bat in anger as the city goes up in flames behind her as she rages against 'Becky with the good hair' who's stolen her man.

And in the video accompanying the track Don't Hurt Yourself, the singer takes off her ring and throws it at the camera as she sings: 'If you try this s**t again, you gonna lose your wife.'

It sparked widespread speculation about whether Jay Z had cheated on his stunning wife and if so, who he had cheated with.

Meanwhile, although Jay Z was seen with Beyonce backstage at the Marlins Park Stadium in Miami, candid pictures from behind the scenes revealed that neither were wearing their wedding rings.

The revelation is likely to re-ignite questions about what exactly is going on between the power couple who tied the knot in 2008 and have a four-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.
