Silicon Valley CEO Anne Wojcicki and her new boyfriend Alex Rodriguez have made their public debut as a couple.

The ex-wife of billionaire Google founder Sergey Brin arrived at the Met Gala with the New York Yankee slugger on Monday night, appearing at an event for the first time after dating for two months.

Wojcicki, the chief executive officer of the personal genomics company 23andMe, posed for photographers in New York in a white dress alongside the 40-year-old divorced baseball star, who wore a tuxedo.

The pair have been rarely spotted together, with Rodriguez travelling all over the country for games and Wojcicki's hectic work schedule.

A-Rod had a smile on his face, despite the Yankees's woeful run of form that has left them at the bottom of the American League East.

His four RBIs at Fenway Park on Sunday night were not enough to get past bitter rivals, The Boston Red Sox.

Wojcicki and Rodriguez were photographed getting cozy together for the first time in April at the Green Lemon restaurant in Florida.

According to those present, the billionaire and her baseball star beau spent an hour in the restaurant before heading off.

They were also previously spotted dining at a Tampa steakhouse and in February at a Super Bowl party hosted by Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter.

Wojcicki, who divorced Google founder Sergey Brin last year, talked about dating A Rod in an interview with Kara Swisher of Re/code Decode shortly after reports of the new couple began to emerge in the press.

'You might’ve dated someone not well known,' joked Swisher in the interview, naming Vladmir Putin as a possible option.

'I’m all for long-distance, but that seems far,' said Wojcicki.

'And also controversial.'

She then added that her relationship history 'all seems so random.'

Wojcicki and Brin quietly split in June of last year, two-and-a-half years after it was revealed that Brin was having a relationship with Google employee Amanda Rosenberg.

Details of the very private pair's divorce were sparse, including how much of Brin's $30 billion fortune Wojcicki walked away with in the settlement.

The couple, who have a son born in December 2008 and a daughter born in 2011- had a pre-nuptial agreement in place prior to their 2007 wedding.

Vanity Fair explored Brin's relationship with Rosenberg - the public face of Google Glass who was in her mid-20s at the time - in an article in its April 2014 issue.

The magazine reported that in late 2012 or early 2013, Wojcicki discovered emails between the two, and that by April Brin had moved out of their home before announcing their separation in August.

The couple had been together since 1998.

Wojcicki remained in the couple's $7million Los Altos home with their two children while Brin moved into their second Los Altos home so they can raise their children as a team.

Many close to the former couple said that Wojcicki was not interested in art or jewelry like some of the other Silicon Valley wives, and instead hoped to have a 'normalized life.'

Rodriguez was previously married to Cynthia Scurtis (left in 2007). The pair divorced in 2008. He also dated Cameron Diaz (right in 2010) Madonna, Kate Hudson and wrestler Torrie Wilson in just the past decade

Friends also said that Wojcicki did not want a divorce, with the magazine noting; 'The couple has a pre-nup, there’s more than enough money to go around, and she wouldn’t want to deal with courts and custody battles.'

Rodriguez on the other hand is not stranger to high-profile relationships and splits, having dated Madonna, Kate Hudson, Cameron Diaz and wrestler Torrie Wilson in just the past decade.

He was married to psychologist Cynthia Scurtis until 2008, and the pair have two children - Natasha, 11, and 7-year-old Ella.

Rodriguez, who is making $20million this season, has reportedly made $342million over the course of his career.

On Monday, he opened up his Florida home to Architectural Digest. His one story home is what he describes as his sanctuary and a place he and his family can escape for many years to come.

He told Architectural Digest: 'Traveling as much as I do, what I really wanted was someplace peaceful, where I could rest and recover and be with my daughters.'

'This house was the collaboration of a dream team. The words I kept thinking were ''long term''. I kept imagining my kids rushing home from college for the holidays.'
