But Carrie Underwood already stole the spotlight as she stepped onto the red carpet at the 2016 American Country Countdown Awards on Sunday.

The 33-year-old beauty dazzled in a beautiful dress with see-through portions as she arrived at The Forum in Los Angeles.

Carrie's gown was certainly unique and featured a sheer bodice with colourful graphic print panels.

A ballgown skirt added lots of volume and the transparent fabric flashed a glimpse of Carrie's colourful hotpants underneath.

Her blonde tresses looked great in beachy waves and she wore silver dangle earrings to complete the glam look.

She wore bright yellow strappy stilettos to complete the look.

Carrie took home the award for Female Vocalist of the Year and performed wearing a sparkly red mini dress which showed off her fantastic legs.

It was a night of big performances and top stars such as Luke Bryan and Brooks & Dunn picking up awards.

Martina McBride kicked off the show with a performance that had the crowd singing along.

The ceremony, which airs live on FOX, celebrates the country acts with the biggest record sales, radio airplay and tour sales.

It is named after the long running radio show American Country Countdown.

The songstress - who just appeared at Stagecoach festival over the weekend - told FOX411 at the event: 'This award show is special because it's...all about fans and all about radio and without the two of those there would be no country music,

'Country music has the best fans hands down. I see it on the road every single night when we have shows. They are loyal and supportive. It's so nice to be able to have things like this and stand up there and say thank you specifically to the fans.'
