Time Magazine, Hannah Beech and Dominic Nahr, Aug 21, 2014: Yukie lived in Futaba, a tidy town where many residents worked at the nearby nuclear plant… Yukie entered an arranged marriage with a nuclear worker [who] still works at the plant, which is why she doesn’t want her full name used… After the evacuation order went out, Yukie and her family ran home—just under 2 miles from Fukushima Daiichi—to grab a few essentials, like blankets and diapers for her daughter. Then they piled into a car and drove northwest. Unbeknownst to them, the prevailing winds blew radiation along the very same path. Since then, Yukie and her family have moved 10 times, from one set of cramped rooms to another. But the specter of radiation—invisible, odorless, tasteless—follows them. Yukie, 33, and her two small children now live like shut-ins on the outskirts of Iwaki, the biggest city near Fukushima Daiichi… Earlier this year, her daughter broke out in mysterious rashes; one visiting doctor speculated that radiation could have caused the outbreaks. (Other doctors, however, blamed different causes.) Yukie suffers from frequent nosebleeds, which she says she never had before the disaster… many parents around Fukushima fear for their children’s health… “There’s so much societal pressure to not even mention the word radiation,” says Sachihiko Fuse, an oncologist who helps run a private medical clinic in Fukushima city. “The national and prefectural governments say, ‘Please, there’s no danger, live as normal.’ But people are concerned.”… no one knows exactly how stress can manifest itself in physical complaints, including nosebleeds.

Speech by Kazuko Ito, Esq., member of the UN Women Regional Civil Society Advisory Group and Secretary General of Japan-based NGO Human Rights Now (At 5:00 in), published by Cinema Forum Fukushima on July 30, 2014: Until now 74 cases of thyroid cancer were identified among affected children, so this is huge. However the government has no plan to expand the health monitoring system… People, especially vulnerable groups such as women and children, are exposed to serious health risks… The government is actively engaged with the safety propaganda, the government conducts no proper guidance regarding the risk of radiation — instead the government underestimates the low level radiation and actively disseminates opinions such as ‘No evidence of physical harm under 100 millisieverts per year.’ Before the accident we talk about 1 millisieverts a year, but now government talks about 100 millisieverts is ok, so how dangerous is it, you could imagine.

  • "“The national and prefectural governments say, ‘Please, there’s no danger, live as normal.’ But people are concerned.”… no one knows exactly how stress can manifest itself in physical complaints, including nosebleeds."

it's called a direct physical response to radiation exposure, radiation sickness… it is not psychologically induced…

We have learned that "stress" (impact, insomnia, overuse of muscles, stretching… which is stress to muscles, environmental factors like pollen, chemicals, sun exposure, etc) is acted upon by the body with inflammation and histamine response among other effects. The body does not care about the difference between different stresses. Radiation is also a stress to the body, as our system reacts with similar mechanisms. Perhaps the doctors over in Japan are covering themselves by telling patients it is stress causing them problems, because radiation is indeed a stress, it's just that they aren't openly admitting it. Later on, doctors will point out that radiation inflicts stress upon the human body, and it is this fact which will allow them to avoid prosecution. It's ALWAYS been in the wording.

No, no, no, don't know where you got that from. "Stress," to the Japanese establishment, means SOLELY psych stuff. The doctors are told to say this and not to mention the R word. The doctors aren't "covering themselves" — they are just following orders for fear of their jobs.

Don't make it more complicated than the criminal insanity it already is. IMHO.

A couple years later he remembered the conversation and asked if the large moles on Kiev women around 25-28 years old, in my opinion, had to do with Chernobyl's effects. He believed it did, because the moles were isolated to people of known fallout areas. Keep giving the legal counselors out there all the info you know… they seem to absorb it well considering the mind the have.

          Dr. Goodheart,

With millions of hungry plaintiffs' lawyers looking for cases with a potential for compensation, the are reasons that plaintiffs' lawyers do not take radiation cases. Because Gerry Spence won a punitive damages award against Kerr-McGee on behalf of Karen Silkwood in the amount of ten million dollars, that any law firm could "just follow what Mr. Spence did" is a vast oversimplification of the problems in proof of causation of damages in these cases. Yes, we have all heard Chris Busby and Helen Caldicott talk about low-dose radiation exposures, but proving why someone got cancer in a courtroom is much more difficult than you assume.

I do not mean to put down your efforts to hold the nuclear industry liable for the damage it does; but oversimplifying legal liability issues and problems in proof of causation in these cases is not helpful.

Karen Silkwood was a whistleblower who had documented exposures to high doses of radiation on the job and was retaliated against, and later killed. The verdict had little to do with her radiation-induced disease, and more to do with the manner in which she was treated. As I recall, she sued for wrongful termination.

Your article mixes up so many legal issues that I will not attempt to refute what you say point by point. I just want to say that there are many legal reasons that the multitude of hungry plaintiffs' lawyers regard these cases with great caution. It isn't that the idea never occurred to us. Peace.

I talk to Joseph Mangano frequently. He believes that we might have epidemiological evidence of radiation-induced pulmonary cancers in the USA from Fukushima by 2019. From there, you need a toxicologist, pathologist, and an oncologist to show that the individual's cancer was most likely caused by radiation or particles from a particular defendant. As with asbestos and tobacco, the road is long and hard. Class action lawsuits are usually based on future medical expenses and the cost of medical monitoring; a plaintiff must opt out of the class action lawsuit to prove damages unique to him such as his loss of income, pain and suffering and loss of consortium.

I have not encountered a single qualified medical expert who is pointing to Fukushima as the cause of any cancer, outside of papillary thyroid cancers in children where a biopsy might point at 131I as the cause by examining chromosomes in biopsies. It might be more likely than not that Fukushima caused those cancers in the USA, but so far, these cases are rare.

Some listed cancers are presumed to be caused by radiation exposures by persons who lived downwind from above-ground testing during certain periods. OK. They get $50,000, not 10 million. I represent Depuy hip replacement cases. Some of the statements there are a bit over the top. My associates tried the Kransky case but settlements of hundreds of cases were in the mid-six figures.

I think the evidence will pile up over time, not only of pathologies in the human population but in other species, as well. Widespread testing for contamination will be demanded, patterns of exposure will be identified and compared to Chernobyl, new diagnostic methods will be developed, and a massive case will be built. The only question in my mind is how long it will take for the world to overcome the obfuscation, bribery, and threats of the nuke mafia. In a manner similar to financial collapse and climate change impacts, people start to become aware when they are directly affected. That awareness will then turn into action.

But I gather that (someone correct me if I'm wrong,) the Japanese handle children deformed at birth somewhat differently, as well as stats. It may be more masked than what is done in other parts of the world. They need whistleblowers from inside the medical establishment, and that's probably hard to come by.

The problems in Japan go back to the 1945 bomb blasts. Radiation was not understood then and it is not understood now, hence the bullshit about stress rashes.

Nick, it is classified information. Our tax $ pays for all of this bad BS stuff that these people do
but we are not allowed to know about it. All classified.

As a professional in recovery I am amazed at the information that was never shared with me while I
      was working.

I wasn't allowed, as an American citizen and working professional to know about important historical data, human experimentation and abuse. I had to trip and fall on it to learn about it. It hurt.

But it motivates me to tell the truth about it.

"Stress Rash – Pictures, Causes, Symptoms, Treatment
The four A’s of dealing with stress

This is a simple mantra but one that requires discipline.

Avoid an element that cause stress
Alter your attitude and response to an element that gives stress.
Adapt your mind to the stressor
Accept that there is stress but try to resolve it in a proactive manner."

Tell me again how the stressed out rash victims in Japan are going to avoid an element that causes stress? Especially when you consider it is elements of the trans-uranic type flooding the biosphere from Fukushima that is causing the rashes in the first place.

Study the bombs and the shunning of victims then. Now fast forward to 2014. The trend is clear. LIE

"The Fukushima Nuclear Disaster And The Radioactive Effects On Human Health"
"There is not a single life-enhancing benefit to be derived from releasing ionizing radiation into the environment…. Ionizing radiation breaks chemical bonds, destroying in living systems biologically significant micromolecules, and as a result, altering biological function. On a planet teeming with life–impossible without the exquisitely precise interplay of biochemical choreography–ionizing radiation, concentrated by humans and then released, is a force of disorder, chaos and death (p. 8)."
    Zimmerman from:
    http://thehealthcoach1.com/?p=3311

This is what I mean by TATAL: Toxic at the atomic level.

No other truth about ionizing radiation is necessary.

The problem in Japan isn't just external exposure. Remember that they are eating food grown in high radiation zones AND exporting it.
    http://www.straitstimes.com/news/asia/east-asia/story/japan-resume-exports-rice-grown-fukushima-will-send-300kg-singapore-201408

Methinks other Japanese products are also enhanced by decaying atoms.

The world ignores this reality at all of our collective peril.

I give the world another 3 months before the horrors of Fukushima and the global nuclear cabal are too obvious to ignore.

One effect that I think is already underway is GMI: Global Mass Insanity.

Your brainwaves are altered on a quantum level as the wayward electrons from decaying atoms bump other electrons out of molecules…

  • It's this tiresome 'mysterious' thing again, which would be laughable if it weren't so tragic.

The hardest thing to make people understand is the 'societal pressure' stuff: all of us humans are capable of being completely mad, and we are living through yet another instance of it now.

Rwanda, the killing fields of Cambodia, the Cultural Revolution in China, the Nazis, et al (and I'm being polite here, by not mentioning human rights abuses that the USA has been involved in), it all goes way back through history, as far back as you want to look.

The two big slaughters of the 20th century brought forth a new social paradigm, which has now all been pissed down the drain in the name of neo-liberalism (just a new term for enslavement of the plebs).

But don't worry folks, everything's just fine. Go to the food bank and breathe deeply, because GMO and plutonium are good for you.

It must be so, because 'they' tell us it is so…

    It's accumulating manmade radiation!

There. I'll say it, because all the creatures can't…

Thank you for updating this Helen…

Chernobyl, Fukushima, and other hot places…

It's the only continous valid observational scientific study of the effects of radionuclide contamination on biodiversity near these nuclear disaster areas.

    http://www.totalwebcasting.com/tamdata/Documents/hcf/20130311-1/Mousseau-NYAM-Caldicott-edited.pdf

There is no question who is telling the truth. Since 2000, this is the baseline to start from that I would trust.

When the people telling the truth tell you that this Earth's creatures are being affected by manmade radionuclides released into the environment, you are going to want to listen carefully to what they are saying.

Pay attention. You will see the truth.

    http://fukushima-diary.com/2014/08/74000000000-bq-cs-134137-within-10-mins-released-reactor3-summer-2013/
…. On 8/19/2014, Tepco reported to NRA (Nuclear Regulation Authority) 74,000,000,000 Bq of Cs-134/137 was released from Reactor 3 only within 10 minutes in August 2013.
One month ago, Tepco reported to NRA that approx. 1.1 Trillion Bq of Cs-134/137 was scattered due to the debris removal from Reactor 3 in August of 2013.
In the new report, Tepco revised their own announcement and commented they over counted the released volume by 12 ~ 24 %. However one of the peaks of the release is “missing” all the data because two of the dust monitors were simultaneously under inspection and having intermittence “by accident”.
The only available data covers the first peak of release started at 9:20 of 8/19/2013. It is assumed to have ended at 11:00 of the same day.
According to the data, the total released volume was 190,000,000,000 Bq. The maximum released volume in 10 minutes was 74,000,000,000 Bq and even the minimum volume was 2,600,000,000 Bq.
Reactor 3 operating floor was frequently observed splashing the steam for unconfirmed reason last summer. (cf, Tepco not to investigate nor take countermeasures for reactor3 “steam” anymore [URL])
Tepco concluded the high rate of contamination release is due to the debris removal, but Fukushima Diary insists NRA should verify the effect of this steam as well….
    - so 1 trillion becomes 190 trillion, and this is only the caesium

    more from fukushima diary:
    http://fukushima-diary.com/2014/08/nhk-entering-new-era-many-deaths-donating-dead-body-medical-uni-can-recommended/
On 8/14/2014, NHK broadcast a strange TV program that Japanese society will become “the world of many deaths”. They comment it will be due to the rapidly progressing aging society, but the example case picked up in the show was a death from cancer of 41 years old woman. …
In the show, NHK reported the annual death case is assumed to be 1.3 times much as now in 16 years.
They also reported more and more people donate their dead bodies to medical university for “autopsy practice”. They also suggested we can save funeral cost by donating bodies to university because the university would take care of the whole process from cremation to funeral.
Back in 2013, NHK also announced thyroid problem is a people’s disease in Japan. The spike of thyroid cancer among Fukushima children was reported a few months after the TV show. (cf, [New Normal] NHK “Thyroid problem is a people’s disease in Japan. Papillary thyroid cancer is a gentle cancer” [URL]) …

rt typed these pixels of light: "They also suggested we can save funeral cost by donating bodies to university because the university would take care of the whole process from cremation to funeral."

SP: This makes it much easier for the Tokyo nucleoapes to control death and disease statistics. From dead workers at Fukushima Daiichi to children dropping dead in Fukushima playgrounds…just zip them off for free disposal. Dedicated bureaucrats mark down the deaths, but they keep two books.

The do love their incinerators. Burn their problems into the air. But radiation doesn't transmute into safer elements after burning. Deadly sludge and the wisps that escape the filters ensure we all commemorate the passing of nuked humans.

UN 'ignores' genetic mutations caused by Fukushima disaster
    The Times (subscription)-10 hours ago
The United Nations is deliberately ignoring evidence of genetic damage caused by the Fukushima nuclear disaster, according to international scientists who point to signs of mutations in animals, birds and plants.
Members of the US-based Chernobyl and Fukushima research initiative have denounced a recent UN report on the 2011 disaster in Japan which, they say, fails to take proper account of symptoms as diverse as spotty cows, infertile butterflies, and monkeys with low blood cell counts. …
